The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013; Notice under regulation 7(2)(b) Pre-application consultation by the prospective applicant
Residents are being invited to view proposals for the new waterfront walkway linking Dumbarton Town Centre to Dumbarton Castle. The new connection was identified as a priority in the action plan, following the Dumbarton Rock Charrette held in February 2015.
The waterfront walkway, which will span over 1100 meters, will be ideal for walkers and cyclists and will create a scenic link for residents, tourists and visitors between the historic Dumbarton Castle and the Town Centre. The Council is working with the landowners including Culross, Lidl, Dumbarton Football Club, Turnberry Homes, Morrisons and Historic Environment Scotland to ensure that the waterfront walkway and the adjacent planned developments complement each other.
Further details concerning the proposed development can be obtained from the Council Regeneration Team by phone: 01389 737175 or email: regeneration@west-dunbarton.gov.uk
A public drop-in consultation event will be held on Tuesday 27th September from 12.00pm to 7.30pm in the Riverside Parish Church in Dumbarton.
