400 WEAPONS OFF STREET

HUNDREDS of weapons including bayonets, scythes and swords have been taken off the streets of Dumbarton and the Vale during a major initiative.
More than 400 blades were handed in to cops during June's National Knife Amnesty.
But the figures are more than DOUBLE the number handed over during a similar scheme in 1993.
