VOWS: Golf ace Monty and new bride Gaynor

RYDER cup hero Colin Montgomery has tied the knot with sweetheart Gaynor Knowles in front of a starstudded guest list at Loch Lomond Golf Club.

There was an 800-acre exclusion zone in force for the nuptials on the Bonnie Banks, which was attended by Hollywood actor Hugh Grant, supermodel Jodie Kidd and sports presenter Dougie Donnelly.

The £1m ceremony at Rossdhu House followed an all-star pro-am golf tournament — contested between wedding guests — on Saturday morning.

The day ended with a colourful fireworks display, with smitten Colin arranging for a giant red love heart to set the sky alight.

Before the ceremony, Monty — who wed in full Highland attire — spoke about his impending marriage on his website.

He said: “We will be up in Scotland for the big day and we are all really looking forward to it.

“All seven children will be involved in the ceremony, and to have our family and friends with us is going to be a very special day."

The ceremony is the latest coup for the exclusive golf club, which hosts the annual Barclays Scottish Open.

And the exclusive club is now planning to expand its site with a second golf course.

The ambitious plans are to be tabled with National Park Planning officers next month.

The proposals would expand the picturesque site and could create up to 90 jobs — expanding its current workforce of 360.
