Breaking news - Public meeting set for the Vale

Printer Print Article

THE future of maternity services and mental health services across Dumbarton and the Vale will be discussed at two public meetings next month.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) announced today (Tuesday) that members of the public will have the chance to discuss the changes to maternity services, at Dumbarton FC's Strathclyde Homes stadium on Wednesday June 4.

A second public meeting for mental health services has been planned for the Dumbuck House Hotel on Tuesday June 17.

Both meetings start at 6.30pm.

A spokeswoman for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) said: “We will write to those who have expressed an interest in attending these meetings and confirm the details.

“Adverts will also be placed in the local media next week.”

GGC launched separate consultations into the future provision of maternity and mental health services earlier this year.

Residents have less than 41 days to have their say on mental health services and less than 28 days for maternity services.

Anyone wishing to attend either consultation event should register by calling 0800 027 7246 to allow organisers to cater for the appropriate number of attendees.
