THE apparent killing of a tame duck from Knowetop Farm after the latest vandal attack has left staff and volunteers “sickened”.

Another duck is still missing from the farm, which was targeted on Thursday evening.

An empty bottle of vodka mix was found in the debris left in the aftermath, leading staff to believe it was drunk teenagers who attacked the farm, ruined the gardens and destroyed the bird sheds.

Farm manager, Eleanor Mitchell, says she cannot believe people would want to attack the farm, never mind harm the pets. She said: “Why would people want to destroy something which is meant to be for the community — and killing ducks, that is just disgusting.”

She now is worried that the farm will have to close if the attacks continue.
