Paul is all plastic fantastic
By Alan Findlay
Paul McLeod bagged the winner
DUMBARTON striker Paul McLeod was delighted with the win on Saturday and even more thrilled to get on the scoresheet.
He said: “The Montrose game went well for me and scoring what turned out to be the winner capped a really good day for us.
“Having missed a few chances against Annan, I owed the lads a goal and it was a big relief to get it.”
Despite his
scoring heroics, McLeod confessed the artificial surface at Links Park is not something he would like to play on every week.
He added: “I hate plastic pitches. It’s difficult to get a good first touch and I much prefer grass.”
The former
Hamilton man also revealed joining Dumbarton has been a real boost to his career.
He said: “I’m
settling in really well at the club and I’m enjoying every minute of it.
“Everyone from the fans to the
directors have made me feel very
welcome and it’s the happiest I’ve been in my career.
“The gaffer has been brilliant with me and by scoring goals hopefully I’ll repay his faith in me.”
