MANAGER Jim Chapman was delighted to win the Irn-Bru manager of the month for October, but insists that the award is not just for his efforts.

Ever gracious in claiming the plaudits, the Dumbarton boss was quick to share his award with the rest of his staff at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium.

Jim said: “Winning the award is always nice, but it’s a team thing, not just for me.

“From the groundsman Kenny Watters who prepares the surface right through to the players. It’s for everyone connected with the Club.”

Sons enjoyed back to back wins over Annan Athletic, Montrose and Berwick Rangers and in the process became the SFL’s top scorers, a fact that no doubt influenced the voting panel.
