EXPECT A BUDGET OF CUTS

Comment Bubble Comments (0) Printer Print Article

THE SNP-led administration running the council will shortly present its first budget.

This budget has serious implications for the most vulnerable groups in West Dunbartonshire.

The SNP is considering the closure of Willox Park care home and it is looking at imposing increases in charges for the meals on wheels service and hiking up the costs of home care.

The list of possible cuts and reductions goes on and on.

The SNP has a lot to answer for, particularly their leader who could not even be bothered to go through to Edinburgh to meet with the SNP’s Finance minister and argue for a better and fairer funding level for West Dunbartonshire.

Instead, he sent one of his lackeys who failed to get a single extra penny for our area.

The SNP promised change when it ran for office but it is plain that it is failing the residents of West Dunbartonshire.

Failure to properly fund council services means that the SNP will be presenting a budget of cuts.
