A VALE man who breached an antisocial behaviour order (ASBO) imposed by a court has been warned he will be sent to prison if he commits any further offences.

Stephen McGlashan, who lives in Davidson Road in Jamestown, had the ASBO imposed in February 2014 at Dumbarton Sheriff Court preventing him from causing a noise nuisance to neighbours. However, on a date last summer he played music at excessive volume late at night.

McGlashan had pleaded guilty during an earlier court appearance to causing a disturbance at this home by playing loud music at 11.15pm on July 3.

When McGlashan appeared back in the dock last week for sentencing, Sheriff Maxwell Hendry told him: "I am not going to send you to prison today but you have to understand that the court has a limited amount of patience and you have come close to exhausting that. If you continue to commit offences then it's unlikely after today that you will be given any more community payback orders, and you will be sent to prison for any further offending."

The sheriff imposed a community payback order with the conditions that MCGalshan be supervised for the next 12 months and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the community within the next six months.
