St Mary's Primary School in Alexandria was crowned the overall champion of Sports Development's Cross Country Relay event held last week, writes Jennifer Russell.
Students from schools across Dumbarton and the Vale pulled on their trainers and channelled Usai mn Bolt for the big race.
Other local school teams taking part were Knoxland Primary, Jamestown Primary, St Patrick's Primary, Gartocharn Primary, Aitkenbar Primary, Dumbarton Academy, Our Lady and St Patrick's and Vale of Leven Academy.
St Mary's Primary won the event with 47 points, followed by Knoxland Primary in second place and St Patrick's in third.
Moe than 500 pupils enjoyed competing against each other and other schools in West Dunbartonshire at the event held in Balloch Country Park.
