POLICE have launched an investigation over a deliberate fire at Nobleston estate early on Wednesday morning.
A large garden shed was set on fire at 3.30am on Wednesday, July 20, on the Nobleston estate in Alexandria.
Photos sent to the Reporter show a destroyed shed, scorched earth and blackened wooden fences. The surface and netting of a large trampoline melted.
A police spokesman said the incident was an act of wilful fire-raising and an investigation is under way.
Crews extinguished the blaze using a main and hosereel jet and left the scene at 4.45am.
