Braehead Primary hosted its annual autumn fair on Saturday in a fun-filled event for pupils and parents alike.

Alongside a bouncy castle, tombola and face-painting, there was also a car boot sale, nail-painting and various stalls to excite the kids.

The event, ran from 10.30am until 1.30pm, and was a great success with an estimated £1,000 raised for various school events in the school for the next year.

It was organised by the Friends of Braehead organisation but some teaching staff helped out on the day.

Parents and children were encouraged to set up their own stalls, with many bringing along old toys to swap with the other pupils.

One parent even organised for a truck to arrive so that the pupils could explore and have fun with it.

Suzie Dolleman, principal teacher, said: “We were lucky as it was a nice day on Saturday and everything went well.

“We host it at this time of the year to let the parents of the new primary one children meet each other but it is also fun for the kids and for the wider community, too.

“Everybody that came had a great time and it’s nice for the parents to get a chance to meet each other.

“We also get a lot of ex pupils who come along with their friends so it’s good to see them still getting involved.”
