UP to 200 residents were affected when a power cut hit the Bellsmyre area of Dumbarton on Saturday morning.
The Reporter has learned that the problem started at around 7.30am and left some homes without power for between 15 minutes and an hour.
A spokesperson for Scottish Power said: "We did have an underground cable fault in the G82 (Bellsmyre) postcode area on Saturday at about 0730 in the morning with all customers back on within the hour.
"Around a couple of hundred customers were affected overall, but the majority were back on supply within 15 minutes.
"We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
