THE Scottish SPCA is seeking a new home for Drax the cornsnake, one of Dumbarton's longest residents
The Dumbarton Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre is hoping that 2017 is the year that Drax finds his new forever home after spending nearly two years at the centre in Milton.
Centre manager Joe McDade said: “Unfortunately Drax has been with us for longer than a year and nine months.
“He came to us through no fault of his own and is well handled due to being in the centre for so long.
“We know taking on a snake is a big responsibility, especially as Drax could grow to be six feet long but we have every confidence he’d make a great addition to an experienced snake owner, or a confident novice.
“While we’re very fond of having Drax here, it would be wonderful if 2017 proved to be the year he found his new forever home.”
Anyone who can offer Drax a new home is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA’s Dumbarton centre on 03000 999 999.
