A POPULAR nursing assistant at the Vale of Leven Hospital, who has helped raise thousands of pounds for charity, has retired after 30 years service.
Pat Graham who was based in the Hospital’s Maternity Unit, was one of the longest serving employees at the Vale.
The Alexandria woman was the guest of honour at a leaving ‘do’ in the Tullichewan Hotel, Balloch, attended by colleagues, friends and family.
Mrs Graham has carried out a considerable amount of fund raising for the Hospital’s geriatric and maternity units.
She was also recently appointed the first woman President of Alexandria’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, a charity organisation.
One of Mrs Graham’s daughters travelled over from Australia to attend the special meal.
Although she has now retired Mrs Graham still has a connection with the Hospital as two other daughters work there.
One is training to be a midwife and the other works in the Hospital’s laundrette.
