Firefighters were called to the site of the fiscal’s office in Dumbarton to attend a fire which broke out at the weekend.

The fire took hold on Sunday lunchtime, with firefighters called to the blaze at the three-storey building at around 3pm.

The incident at the building was attended by three fire engines, with firefighters using breathing apparatus and high-powered hoses in efforts to put out the flames.

Fire teams then ensured that the area was made safe before leaving the scene.

There were no reported casualties from the blaze and the cause of the fire is not believed to be of a criminal nature, with the fiscal office still running as normal following the incident.

A Crown Office spokesperson said: “The cause of a fire at Dumbarton PFO over the weekend is being investigated.

“No one was hurt in the incident and all essential services are operating as normal.”
