TWO people were last night taken to hospital after a road traffic accident between two vehicles on the A82.

It's understood that the accident happened around 6.10pm near the Stoneymollan Roundabout, causing the road between Balloch and Arden to close.

Traffic Scotland posted on Twitter that the road was "expected to remain closed for some time."

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed two people had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

It is not yet known if they were drivers or passengers in either vehicle and the extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

Diversions were set up for anyone driving along the A82 or A811 last night, which is also linked by the roundabout.
