A RENTON man is offering local football fans a unique opportunity to have their photo taken with a piece of sporting heritage this evening.

Thirty-year-old Kenneth Fenton has secured an exact replica of the trophy lifted by the 1967 European Cup winning Celtic team - the 'Lisbon Lions' - with the anniversary of their victory falling this week.

The trophy was created for a series of charity functions, and it has been passed to Kenneth through friends for a short time and is urging football fans of all allegiances and ages to come down to Tontine Park in Renton this evening from 5:30pm for a chance to have a photo taken with the cup.

Kenneth has been taken the trophy on a tour of the area in the sunshine, including in Dumbarton's Levengrove Park, where hundreds of lucky fans took their chance for a special picture.

He said: "The trophy's is an exact replica, same weight and same size as the 1967 trophy, everything. The reaction has been brilliant and I'm really happy.

"It's the first time I've taken it around here, and so I thought I'd bring it down to Tontine Park where one of Renton Craigandro's young teams are playing tonight. It's really for the kids and supporters of all teams to come and have a once in a lifetime picture."
