A construction site in Bonhill was deliberately set on fire this morning.
The Reporter has learned that emergency services were summoned to Napierston Road and Campbell Street at 3.13am to tackle the blaze.
Scottish Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire, which they say was started deliberately.
A spokesman said: “At 3.09am on Monday, June 19, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to reports of a fire at a construction site on Napierston Road, in Bonhill.
“Three appliances attended and extinguished the fire using high-powered hoses.
“There were no casualties and the firefighters ensured the area was safe before leaving the scene.”
A police spokesman added: "At about 3.13am a construction site at Napierston Road and Campbell Street, Alexandria, were set on fire.
"SFRS and Police Scotland attended, the fire extinguished and deemed to be wilful by SFRS. "
Clydebank CID are appealing for witnesses to contact them via 101.
