LOCAL libraries are teaming up with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide coffee mornings and drop-in services for the local community.

The sessions are run by trained Macmillan volunteers and will offer a confidential space for any issues to be discussed, arrangement of free counselling and therapy appointments with Cancer Support Scotland and help with referral to the local Macmillan Carers Service.

You can also just pop in for a cup of tea and to meet other people living with cancer.

The aim to provide more support networks for people in the community and create opportunities for those who wish to volunteer.

The drop-ins will be available at Alexandria Library on Mondays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, Balloch Library on Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and Dumbarton Library on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
