FUN was the order of the day when the annual Levenfest took place at the CATRA (Central Alexandria Tenants and Residents Association) Hall in Alexandria Street on Saturday.

Thankfully the weather stayed dry and everyone who attended on the day had a fun-packed afternoon.

During the event children had the opportunity to jump around on the bouncy castle, get their faces painted and take part in a variety of games.

There was also the chance to meet some of the local community groups who came along to support the event.

Groups such as the Alexandria Armed Forces Association, Blue Triangle, Alexandria and District Community Dog Training Service, The Leamy Foundation, along with CATRA were on hand to meet the public and talk to them about the work they do.

The Scottish SPCA also had a stall.

For those with an appetite there was the refreshment stall and barbecue, while the Love Food Hate Waste and Community Herbs and Veg groups were out in force too.

The event ran from 12noon to 4pm, was free to enter and is the second annual staging of Levenfest.
