Police in Dumbarton are cracking down on careless drivers after complaints from school crossing patrollers.
The initiative to influence driver behaviour was outlined to members of Dumbarton East and Central Community Council by PC Matt Hooper.
Members were also told police are stopping drivers parking on pavements and double yellow lines, with a number of parking fines issued.
PC Hooper said foot patrols at Bridge Street and High Street near to Risk Street were being carried out.
