A BELLSMYRE man has been jailed for 60 days after admitting producing cannabis.
John McCourt, 37, of Broomhill Drive, was caught by drugs squad officers growing cannabis plants at his home on July 12, 2016.
McCourt appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court this week, where his lawyer told a sheriff that he is currently serving a four-month prison sentence on other offences and his earliest date of release was May 27.
Sheriff William Gallacher revoked a community payback order previously imposed on McCourt and jailed him for 60 days. The sentence will run concurrently with his present jail term.
