A CAR driven by a Vale woman “out of her face” on drugs has since been held by police for an alleged hit and run.
Francesca Baxter, 33, of Pappert, was back at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week for sentencing for two separate incidents of being unfit to drive.
The case had been put off when the Crown wanted her car forfeited to the court and she claimed it had been sold.
Baxter’s solicitor said he had been told it was sold on Gumtree for £400, but “police are slightly sceptical of that”.
Fiscal depute Ian Meacock then told the court Baxter was still the registered keeper of the vehicle as of May 9 but it was “involved in a hit and run incident” and had been impounded by police.
Sheriff John Hamilton said: “So it has not been sold on Gumtree.”
Baxter had pleaded guilty to being unfit to drive on July 5 last year in O’Hare, Bonhill, and again on October 7 in Church Street, Alexandria.
Another CPO of 250 hours was imposed and she is currently subject to electronic tagging in the evenings. The case will call again on June 22.
