A NEW road in an Alexandria housing estate is to be named Dumbain Gardens.
This week Balloch and Haldane Community Council, announced the new name, which will be officially recorded when West Dunbartonshire Council's Planning Committee meet on June 27.
The new street will form part of a housing estate in Alexandria being built by Cube Housing Association.
The name has been decided by WDC Planning and Building Standards, following a consultation process.
A new access road will also serve the development and it is proposed to be constructed opposite the existing Dumbain Road/Manse Drive junction.
Edna Millan, Support Officer for WDC Planning and Building Standards, told the Community Council: "The new name fits the layout of the new development site and is also in line with the existing streets."
