The 1st Dumbarton Cubs celebrated the town’s new Earl and Countess recently by drawing on their local knowledge and personalities to each create their very own coat of arms.
Assistant Cub leader Marie Therese Kelso said: “They took a lot of time over their designs. We’ve recently done our Local Heritage badge so they brought it what they’d learned from that.”
And the children, aged eight to ten, have their fingers crossed that Prince Harry and Meghan will come to Dumbarton soon. Marie Therese added: “I think they are all hoping for a royal visit - and a day off school!”
