A TALENTED team of Highland dancers have returned home from a trip to Paris where they took part in a dance festival.
The team, who all live in Dumbarton and the Vale and attend the Sandra Lees School of Dance in Jamestown, joined a host of performers from across Europe for the event.
Leah Aitken, 10, Skye Austin, 10, Hannah Cameron, 10, Zoe Colraine, 13, Caitlin Marsh, 11, Mirren McGlashan, 11, and Chloe McIntyre, 10, showcased highland dance in four specially choreographed routines – much to the delight of those who came along to enjoy the showpiece event.
The group were supported by their dance teachers Sandra Lees and Margo Lusk.
Argenteuil is twinned with Clydebank and The Agora Association celebrate the link by hosting the spectacular dance event every year.
They invite dancers from Scotland, Romania, Italy, Germany and Portugal to come together in “Un Gala de Danses Modernes des Villes Jumelees”.
And the girls also teamed up with the other dancers for a fun hip-hop flashmob, which took shoppers by surprise at the nearby commercial centre.
Teacher Sandra said: “It was such a pleasure to return to Argenteuil this year with our young team of dancers, who represented both themselves and West Dunbartonshire exceptionally well.
“We had some lovely feedback from the organisers and invited guests about the quality of the dancing on display, and I really am very proud of each of them.”
