A MAN was convicted of a crime at Dumbarton Sheriff Court after having avoided trouble since not having a TV licence 16 years ago.
Philip Connelly, 51, of Keil Crescent, Dumbarton, appeared at the town’s sheriff court on Friday where he admitted being found in Levenford House Lodge, Dumbarton on February 25, 2017.
He pleaded guilty that it was reasonable to infer he intended to commit theft.
Sheriff John Hamilton admonished Connelly, but told him that it would remain on his criminal record.
