Osaka Kwai Judo Club member Darcy Millar has enjoyed receiving invaluable mat-side experience as a player chaperone at the European Veteran Open at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
The 10-year-old Braehead Primary pupil has been in the Judo Scotland Talent Development Team since the early part of this year and received a personal invite to assist at the four-day event through this success.
Darcy’s dad Frank said: “She trains really hard and goes to competitions and has done really well, so she has really earned this. We are very proud.
“She has been filming and helping players with kit, and has really enjoyed it. Seeing world class players train and warm up has been a great experience and has exposed her to what happens at top level events.”
