POLICE say they believe the same people were responsible for a spate of vandalisms in Dumbarton in which thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to parked vehicles in a single night.
Eighteen vehicles in Bonhill Road, Williamson Avenue and the surrounding area and then in Dumbarton High Street and at the flats at West Bridgend were damaged on the night of June 14-15, while a shop door in the High Street was also smashed.
Inspector Roddy McNeill from Dumbarton police office said: “Detailed investigations have identified CCTV which has been seized and reviewed.
“Police can confirm all the incidents were linked and the same individuals believed to be responsible.
“The total value of the damage will be in the thousands.”
Police enquiries are ongoing to confirm the identity of some of those believed to be responsible and to trace and arrest the suspects.
