A BRUCEHILL teenager who bought drugs with his birthday money was snared with cocaine outside a social club.
Andrew Banks, 19, of Caledonia Terrace, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday, having previously pleaded guilty to the offence which happened in February.
Banks was found to be in possession of cocaine near Harp Social Club, High Street, Dumbarton.
Prosecutor Emma Thomson said cops observed Banks at 9.45pm.
He had dilated pupils, his speech was slurred. When searched 10.27 grams of cocaine worth £400 was found in a bag in his front pocket.
His lawyer said: “It was for personal use and was bought with birthday money he had been given early.”
Sheriff Moira Mackenzie deferred sentence until November 9 ordering him to be of good behaviour.
