Have you heard that football is coming home?

Well not quite yet.

Whether you are praying for England to get thrashed or hoping that at least one of Britain's home nations can do it for the rest of us, there are plenty of places to catch all of the World cup semi-final action in Dumbarton and the Vale

This lively pub has been covering all of the World Cup action on the big screen and tonight is no exception with the game starting at 7pm get down early to grab a seat right at the front.

Also getting in on the football fun, this pub can't wait to find out who is battling France for the title. As well as enjoying the game, they are inviting spectators to enjoy one of their delicious sharing platters which include a house sharer, antipasti platter or delicious nacho sharer.

The Captain James Lang, High Street, Dumbarton

This Wetherspoons favourite is providing all the action as well as a host of delicious drinks and a menu bursting with football watching-worthy snacks. 

Doghouse Bar, Balloch Road, Balloch

If your looking for a big screen and even better atmosphere, this bar is the place to go to get your football fix. 

McKenzies Bar, Main Street, Alexandria

This Alexandria bar is promising World Cup and 99p lager specials alongside the game as well as a great range of draught ciders at great prices. At half time, punters can also grab a quick game of pool. 

In the run up to the game, local residents have taken to Twitter to show their support for England or desperation for them to fail. 

Whilst some are keen for the Three Lions to lift the trophy others are not so hopeful. 

One Twitter user even sarcastically questioned if the Auld Enemy were playing tonight.

Joyce Kerr said: "Well done to England through to the semi-finals of the World Cup."

Whilst Figgy Rascal joked: "I see England have won the World Cup twice in 2 weeks now. Some acheivement for them."

England take on Croatia in the semi-final of the World Cup tonight at 7pm.
