CONTROL of the luxury Cameron House Hotel has been returned to the facility’s owners as police continue their investigation into the fire which killed two guests last December.
Due to the extensive damage to the building, police were unable to access the site for 14 weeks following the incident.
A police spokesman said: “Cameron House Hotel has been handed back to the owners. Investigations in the fire are ongoing.”
Councillor Jim Bollan said: “The completion of the police investigation will hopefully provide a small step in the grieving process for the families who lost their loved ones in this tragic fire.
“The families now need to be told the cause of the fire and what, if any, lessons have been learned.”
