There will be something for residents of all ages at the Dumbarton Police Station open day this Saturday.

The free event on July 21 will include an array of emergency service teams will also be hosting, including BTP Camera Enforcement, Police Scotland mountain rescue team, the Scottish Fire Service (who will have a chip pan display), the road traffic police, NHS car and motorbike paramedics, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park rangers and Trossachs Search and Rescue.

There will be the opportunity to explore emergency service vehicles, and animal lovers will be delighted to be able to get to know the police dogs and horses.

All money raised will be donated to two local children’s charities: CHAS and Y Sort It.

A tuck shop offering light refreshments, and a raffle offering vouchers for a huge range of activities around Dumbarton and the Vale, will also be a big part of the day.

The event will take place within the grounds of Dumbarton police office between 10am and 2pm. 

Anyone attending should park in the old Garshake council offices car park where there will be officers directing traffic. There will be no parking facilities within the police office grounds.
