A THIEF who ran off with footwear from a Dumbarton sports shop will be sentenced later this month.
Charles Burgoyne, 48, of Burns Street, Bonhill, Alexandria, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Tuesday.
Defence lawyer Kenny Clark confirmed to the court that Burgoyne admitted stealing the items from the Sports Direct store in College Way on April 3.
Sheriff William Gallacher deferred sentence until this Friday, July 27, to obtain a background report from social workers. Burgoyne was ordained to appear.
