Cops have arrested a 51-year-old man and seized a Japanese Akita dog following two incidents which allegedly left two dogs and an owner injured.
Earlier this week, police appealed for information after a Bichon Frise and its 62-year-old owner were allegedly attacked in Bonhill on July 20.
And yesterday at around 10am at Braehead Estate, Bonhill, cops said they received a report of a man allegedly under the influence of alcohol and drugs with an animal, which was said to have injured another dog.
Police say an Akita has been taken to the police kennels.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal for alleged offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
