POLICE are appealing for information after one of their vehicles was vandalised.
A marked police vehicle was parked at the Mitchell Way car park in Alexandria around 5.20am on Saturday morning.
Two people in dark clothing were seen on CCTV as they approached and threw road cones through the rear windscreen.
The vehicle is now off the road and unusable for community policing in more remote areas such as Gartocharn because of what officers branded a “reckless act”.
CCTV is being reviewed and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers.
