Court appearance lined up for alleged machete attacker
A 30-year-old man was expected to appear in court this week for allegedly swinging a machete at a police officer.
Police were called to Ashton View, Dumbarton, around 5.05pm on Sunday and the man reportedly produced the blade as they approached.
The officer used the police vehicle as cover and the weapon damaged the roof and smashed the window.
The man, from Clydebank, made off and was later arrested.
