Billy Connolly traced his family tree on BBC show Who Do You Think You Are?
Popular BBC programme Who Do You Think You Are? has followed the likes of Twiggy and Billy Connolly in delving into the past and tracing their ancestry.
Now residents in Dumbarton and the Vale have the chance to research their own family trees.
West Dunbartonshire libraries and cultural services are hosting another Family History Open Day on October 8 at Dumbarton Library Heritage Centre at Strathleven Place.
The heritage team will be on hand to help attendees start their family history trail.
There will be two sessions, at 9.30am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4.30pm.
