COMMUTERS in Dumbarton and the Vale are facing major disruption to their journeys to work on Monday morning due to over-running Network Rail engineering work.
No trains are running west of Glasgow on the Balloch-Airdrie, Dumbarton-Cumbernauld or Helensburgh-Edinburgh routes.
The railway line west of Dalmuir was closed all weekend for the replacement of a bridge over Bonhill Road in Dumbarton.
But the infrastructure company was unable to complete the work in time for train services to resume on Monday morning.
ScotRail said in a statement: "Due to limited availability of buses this morning, customers should consider making your own alternative arrangements."
