A CARDROSS driver who smashed her car into another vehicle while unfit to drive will be sentenced next month.
Rosalyn Haughie, 38, of Kirkton Road, pleaded guilty to driving carelessly on Barrs Road in the village on April 25, 2018.
The charge admitted by Haughie stated that the vehicle she was driving mounted and straddled a pavement.
It further stated that she failed to keep her car under control and caused the vehicle to smash into another car, and that she drove while unfit to do so through drink or drugs – an offence under section 4 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
She also admitted assaulting a police constable by digging her finger nails into his hand, causing injury.
Sheriff Kevin Duffy deferred sentence until November 9 to obtain a social work report. An interim driving ban was imposed.
