A PLANNING application has been submitted for the third phase of works to Municipal Buildings in Dumbarton.
External structural straps, light fittings and a rainwater hopper would be added to the “cell block” of the listed building. A structural report earlier this month found large cracking from slow settling of the foundation.
Resin will be injected to the ground to stabilise it as well as structural steelwork bolted to the walls and painted to match existing stonework.
The application can be found on West Dunbartonshire Council’s website as DC18/225.
