Everyone had a cracking time as Levengrove Park hosted its annual fireworks spectacular on Bonfire Night.

The display kicked off at 7.30pm and thousands turned out to watch as more than 700 fireworks were sent skyward.

Comets, mines, spinners, hummers, whistles, strobes and dragon's eggs all lit up the night's sky and delighted those on the ground as they exploded with colour.

As well as enjoying the display, spectators also took the opportunity to have a go on some of the fairground rides and sample some of the hot food available.

While many kids gleefully waved sparklers as they got into the spirit of the evening.

A spokeswoman for West Dunbartonshire Council said: "Thousands of people enjoyed the council’s official fireworks events on and were treated to a spectacular and breathtaking display.

"Levengrove Park was packed with families who were looked after by our stewards and enjoyed the festivities in a safe environment.

"These events are the perfect way to enjoy Guy Fawkes night and we thank the communities of West Dunbartonshire for supporting them.”
