A Renton based company has been named as a finalist in three categories at the Herald Scottish Family Business Awards 2018.

The awards honour family-owned businesses which represent the best in class for business growth, innovation and development within the Scottish business community.

CPR Scotland, a resurfacing and civil engineering company, are in the running to pick up the Fastest Growing Family Business, Commitment to Community and the Scottish Family of the Year (Small/Medium) Awards.

The winners will be named at the 7th Annual event at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday, December 5.

William Black, managing director of CPR Scotland Ltd said: “I am delighted and proud to see that CPR has been recognised for the hard work and determination that everyone behind the scenes has put in to grow and develop this business.

"To be short listed in three categories is an incredible achievement regardless of the outcome on the night.”

The announcement is further recognition for the firm, who received the Best Family Business and Finalist in Excellence in People Development Award at a ceremony held by the West Dunbartonshire Working4Business Awards in June 2018.

The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards have been developed in association with Business Gateway and recognises the impact family owned business of all sectors and of all sizes have on the economy with two out of three companies under family ownership.

Awards categories include: Rural Business of the Year, Scottish Family Business of the Year Small/ Medium and Large, Fastest Growing Business, Commitment to the Community, International Growth, Customer Service Excellence, Business Innovation, Green Family Business, and Outstanding Contribution.

Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges and, from that group of finalists, one winner from each category is awarded.
