COUNCILLORS have been assured no combustible materials are being used by the authority to build new homes in West Dunbartonshire.
A senior official told the housing and communities committee, that the authority is building new homes to as good a standard, if not better, than private developers.
But Peter Barry, strategic lead for housing and employability, told the committee there was “no timeline” for the introduction of fire safety regulations in the aftermath of the Grenfell fire tragedy.
