POLICE were called to a report of excessive noise coming from a flat in North Street in Alexandria shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, November 20.
Officers who went to the scene confirmed they could hear very loud music being played.
Police say the 39-year-old man living at the property had received an official warning the previous day regarding the playing of loud music, and that he had been warned that day that his sound making equipment would be seized in the event of any similar reports.
The man was charged with causing an annoyance and is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
Police seized a number of speakers, as well as a stereo system and a TV.
