An APPRENTICESHIP information evening is being held in Dumbarton.
The free event hosted by West Dunbartonshire Council, along with partners Skills Development Scotland and local providers, will take place on Thursday, December 6 from 6pm till 7.30pm in the new council offices at 16 Church Street.
It is for senior phase pupils and their parents, carers and teachers who are interested in learning more about the apprenticeships offered by the local authority - foundation apprenticeships, modern apprenticeships and graduate apprenticeships.
The evening will, however, have a particular focus on the newest offer in the council’s programme, a foundation apprenticeship aimed at secondary school pupils who will be going into S5 or S6 in August 2019.
The council has described the event as an introduction to apprenticeships and their benefits in simple terms, and apprentices past and present in both a work and school context will be featuring.
