The IRN-BRU Carnival is searching for five talented youngsters to become the official ambassadors for Europe’s largest indoor funfair – marking the end of the Year of Young People 2018.

With unlimited, free access to the carnival for each of the lucky five and three friends or family members, they will be able to visit the funfair any time and will share their experience and top tips on the carnival's social media channels.

To apply applicants must be between five and 18 years old and should email a 20-second video explaining why they love the IRN-BRU Carnival to carnival@framecreates.co.uk before Monday, December 17.

Greg Cherry, managing director of QD Events, organiser of the event, said: “The IRN-BRU Carnival is one Glasgow’s most iconic holiday events.

“Our five young ambassadors will get unlimited access to the thrill and fun of the ultimate playground - and even better, they’ll be able to treat their friends and family too. It’s the perfect early Christmas present.”

This year, the carnival has over 60 rides and attractions, with new additions including the Airmaxx 360 and Wild Mouse Rollercoaster and returning favourites such as the sticky wall and carousel.

There will also be over 20 classic game stalls and activities – ranging from arcade games to basketball and Whac-A-Minion – along with an inflatable play paradise for the little ones to enjoy.

The carnival will be on at the SEC, Glasgow from December 20 until January 13, excluding Christmas Day.

Any ambassador under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are available now from £12 for general admission and £8 for concessions. All general admission tickets will include entry as well as five vouchers per person, which can be used on all rides, inflatable play and selected stalls (some stalls are cash taking). Book tickets in advance for fast track entry into the hall. A booking fee may apply for this.
