Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a number of vehicles were damaged in Dumbarton.

Five vehicles were damaged in Cardross Road and Westcliff between 8.30pm on January 6 and 6am on January 7.

Dumbarton community policing inspector Mo Boyle said: "Tyres on five vehicles were slashed, with the person or persons responsible, damaging two tyres on each vehicle, causing maximum disruption to the owners, along with a considerable financial impact.

“We are currently making enquiries into the needless and malicious damage caused to these vehicles and I would encourage anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously or indeed anyone who has heard who was responsible, to contact us."

Anyone with information should call Police Scotland via the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 1629 of Monday 7 January, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where anonymity can be maintained.
