A man who is alleged to have been behaving aggressively, including shouting, swearing and violently resisting arrest, was arrested on Friday, January 11.

The incident is said to have happened at around 3am on Davidson Road, Alexandria.

Police said the man, aged 36, was intoxicated and attempting to gain entry to various properties before he was detained. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 17-year-old man was arrested later in the day in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton.

He was held in connection with an alleged disturbance at the park at around 10pm which involved a group of youths who were claimed to be under the influence of alcohol and were shouting and swearing at police officers.

The teenager is also alleged to have spat at the officers and was held in custody to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.

Police also responded to reports from a concerned member of the public on Saturday, January 12.

A 37-year-old man was reported to the procurator fiscal for the alleged possession of drugs after the man appeared to be disorientated in Eastfield Crescent, Dumbarton.

When the cops arrived, at about 4.40pm, the man reportedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was searched and a substance, believed to be drugs, was allegedly found in his possession.
